Mrs. Donna J. Tucker, age 64 of the Whites Chapel Community passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022 at her residence. Donna was born in Marion County, Alabama on June 25, 1957 to Austin and Emma Lee Benton Hubbert. She attended Winfield City High School and Whites Chapel Church of Christ. Donna worked for many years at Reltoc Manufacturing of Winfield, Arvin, Inc. of Fayette and Jan’s of Winfield.

Donna is survived by her husband of 49 years, Max Tucker, daughter, Leshia Haley (Michael), son, Heath Tucker, grandchildren, Makenna Tucker, Zeb Haley, Addison and Lily Tucker, sisters, Ann McBrayer and Nelda Pridmore (Steve), her sisters-in-law, Brenda Tucker (Roger) and Jan Wakefield (Ricky) and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a nephew, Hayden Spiller.

Funeral services for Donna will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from the Whites Chapel Church of Christ with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Steven O. Green better known as Steve, of Brilliant passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his residence.  Steve was born in Jasper, AL on October 15, 1948 to Robert and Mary Ruth Green.  He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Brilliant.  He was a 1967 graduate of Brilliant High School and attended Florence State University (UNA) earning his bachelor’s degree.

Steve is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Robeana Logan Green, his son, Jerry Steven Green (April), three grandsons, Korey Steven, Kyle Gentry, and Karter Benjamin Green, all of Columbus MS, and a host of other family, church and mining family.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Olin and Mary Ruth Mills Green, grandparents, Benjamin and Lark Green, and Early and Ella Mills.

Steve was very involved in his church, helping in any way possible for many years and worked in the mining industry for 34 years until his retirement. During those years he performed several tasks in the mining community. Steve was involved in mine rescue and safety training at the Walker Technical School, (Bevill State Community College), as well as part of upper management at North River Mine - Pittsburgh & Midway Coal – Chevron Company, Berry AL. He was instrumental in developing and implementing new mining methods in Alabama and nationwide. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with family, hunting and fishing and driving around the countryside until Parkinson’s Disease made it too difficult.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from the  Brilliant Memorial Gardens.  Charlie Rawls and Steve Tidwell will be the officiating ministers.

Precious angel Atticus Lee Lambert beloved infant son of Austin Lambert and Tristien Weldon of Carbon Hill went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Atticus laughed and smiled throughout his 4 months and 5 days, he was always bringing joy and happiness to everyone he touched.

In addition to his parents Atticus is survived by his sister, Brooklynn Lambert, grandparents, Benford and Cassie Weldon of Bankston, Jackie Lambert of Winfield, and Amanda Clements of Coaling, great grandparents, Wanda Studdard of Bankston, Larry and Linda Lambert of Montgomery, and Martha Haney of Winfield, great-great parents, Margie Locke, Mildred Stough and Frank Weldon, aunt, Haley Weldon and uncles, Orin Weldon, Preston Lambert, and Samuel Lambert, a village of great aunts and uncles and a host of other family.

Atticus was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Craig Studdard, Jerrie Weldon, and Ellis Haney, and his great-great grandfather, Austin Locke.

Funeral services for Atticus will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with a graveside service to follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Fayette. Visitation for Atticus will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Thomas Joe Norris better known as Tommy, age 60 of Winfield passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, in the Courtyard Community Living Center in Fulton, MS. Mr. Norris was born in Marion County, Alabama on September 22, 1961, to Larry Norris and Joann Tidwell Norris. Tommy was a member of the Winfield Mason Lodge # 110 and attended Winfield City High School. He was employed with Warrior Met # 4 for many years. Tommy was an avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed 4-wheeler riding, and riding horses and was a world champion in coon hunting and showing coonhounds.

Mr. Norris was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Raymond Norris, Helen Harris Norris Estes, Claude and Hazel Tidwell, step grandfather, Reau Estes, uncle, Phillip Norris, and aunt, Maxine Trimm.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sarah Hughes Norris, daughters, Heather Moffett (Chuck) of Amory, MS, Haley Norris of Winfield, sons, Chris Markham (Tiffany) of Hamilton, MS, Hayden Norris of Winfield, brother, Ted Norris (Chandra) of Winfield, sisters, Terri Bozeman (Mickey) of Winfield, Tonya Nichols (Joe) of Tampa, FL, grandchildren, Alexis, Isabella, Taylor, Paylin, Landen, Kaylin, Emma Grace, Kanaan, Gunner, Nova, Elijah, Waylon, and Rayden, nieces and nephews, Emily Williams (Casey), Isaac Norris, Alley O’Mary (Hunter), Wally Evans (Jennifer), Tony Evans (Michelle), and Deason and Landson Nichols, step mother, Cynthia Wright Norris, aunts, Sharon Morgan (Tim), Teresa Stanford, and Tammy Bolton (Rob), and uncle, Ronnie Estes (Lisa).

Funeral services for Mr. Norris will be held on Saturday April 23, 2022, at 12:00 noon from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon service time at the funeral home.
