Mr. Richard Earl Moore, age 91, of Winfield passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Mr. Moore was born in Winfield, Alabama on January 8, 1932 to Vandiver Clarence and Margaret Ellen Weeks Moore. Mr. Moore was a member of the Winfield Freewill Baptist Church and a graduate of Winfield City High School where he played football in the early 1950’s. Richard Earl was enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War, he was a member of the Winfield Masonic Lodge #304 and served on the Winfield City Council. He spent much of his life employed with 3M Company where he worked for more than 35 years. After his retirement he continued working as a cattle and catfish farmer for many years. Richard Earl spent his last years in the Country Place Assisted Living Facility in Hamilton, attended by his caregivers, Brittany, Juanita, Pat, Jody, Ashton, Madelyn and the wonderful staff there.

Mr. Moore was survived by his daughter, Deborah Moore Lester and her husband Ed of Tampa FL, granddaughter, Whitney Lester Combs (Dennis), great-grandchildren, Grayson Clowney, Caitlin Combs, Taylor Combs, and Emery Combs.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorene Pollard Moore, his second wife, Betty Marshall Moore, his parents, brothers, Bob Moore and Van Moore Jr., and sister, Sarah Gray Segars.

Funeral services for Mr. Moore will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2:00 p.m., at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Winfield Elementary School, 601 County Hwy 14, Winfield AL 35594, in the Moore family’s memory.

Mr. Glenn Lincoln Taylor, age 82, of Winfield passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in the Diversicare Nursing Facility. Mr. Taylor was born on February 12, 1940 to Romie and Doris Flynn Taylor. Glenn was of the Baptist faith and spent much of his life employed as a security guard for Reltoc Manufacturing and Blackhawk Industries in Winfield.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his son, Ken Taylor of Winfield, special friend and caregiver, Shelia Gann (Stevie) of Winfield, and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Taylor, and his parents.

Funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Ms. Betty “June” Earnest Trull, age 87, of Daphne, AL formerly of Winfield, entered into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Robertsdale Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Robertsdale. June was born September 30, 1935 in Fayette County, Alabama to Fred Dalton Earnest and Melia McMillian Earnest. She was a 1953 graduate of Winfield City High School. June was a Homemaker as well as Bookkeeper for Trull Building Supply. She was a long-term dedicated member of Winfield First Baptist Church and taught 3-year-old Sunday School children for many years.

June is survived by her daughter, Brenda Trull Brand (William) of Daphne, son, Steve Trull (Marian) of Bankston, grandchildren, Ashley Davis Stough (David), Devin Davis Tillery (Daniel), Jacob Trull (Callie), and Jonah Trull (Jessica Davis), great-grandchildren, Griff Stough, and Ellie June Stough, sister, Linda Godsey (James), sisters-in-law, Nadine Earnest and Linda Trull, special friend, and caregiver, Sandra Reeves, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Ms. Trull was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Trull, parents, Fred and Melia Earnest, brothers, Doyle Earnest and Jerry Earnest, and brother-in-law, Jim Trull.

Funeral services for Ms. Trull were on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. from the Winfield First Baptist Church with a private family burial on Sunday, January 15, 2023 in the West Alabama Memorial Garden. The visitation was held on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. service time at the church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Winfield First Baptist Church Children’s Building fund.

Mrs. Mary Alice Beasley, age 86 of Twin, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 in the North Alabama Medical Center in Florence. Mrs. Beasley was born in Missouri on July 4, 1936. She is survived by her husband and best friend of nearly 45 years, Junior Beasley, four children, two stepchildren, eleven grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren a brother and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and three brothers.
