Pamela Carol Terrell, age 56, of Guin, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in the Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama. She was born in Winfield, Alabama on June 15, 1967 to Hollie Jr. and Dorothy Jean Lipsey Terrell. Pamela was a member of Guin First Baptist Church and a 1985 graduate of Winfield City High School. Pamela was a very hardworking and determined lady that loved children. She worked for many years at various jobs in the surrounding area before her retirement. When she wasn’t working, Pamela enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, and spending time with family. Pamela was well known as an avid plant mom.

Pamela is survived by her daughter, Tamela Thomas, mother, Dorothy Terrell, sisters, Jenna Sampson (Jesse), Deborah Hackman and Valerie McCollum (Greg) all of Winfield, grandson, Andrew Malik J Nalls, life partner, Bryan Belk, nieces and nephews, T.J. Sampson, Curtis Sampson (Nikita), Anthony Hackman (Shante), Brithney Hackman, Darnell Hackman, Christopher Terrell (Kasey), Jessica Agnew (Deion), and Lakeisha Grant (William), god daughter, Lillee Pearce, lifelong friend, Debra Chaniey, and a host of other family members.

Pamela was preceded in death by her father, Hollie Terrell Jr., and nephews, Brandon Hackman and Stacey Sampson.

Funeral services for Ms. Terrell will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mr. David Lee Box, age 69, of Guin passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 in the DCH Medical Center. Mr. Box was born on January 24, 1954 to Paul and Jewel Cannon Box. David attended Winfield City High School and was employed for many years with Hamilton Plastics before his retirement. In his spare time David enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and spending time with his family.

Mr. Box is survived by his children, Tom Durham (Darlene), Dorinda Durham-Eddy (Dusty), Jason Durham, John Durham (Robin), grandchildren, T.C. Durham (Brittany), Gabriel Durham, Taylor Christopher (Austin), Samantha Durham, Tauni Durham-Evans (Hannah), Alivia Durham, Ashlyn O’Mary, Tyler Durham (Oakley), and Zoe Durham, great-grandchildren, Braydon Roberson, Anna Durham, Jordyn Durham, Hazel Christopher, and Beckett Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Box was preceded in death by his wife Jean Durham, and brother Michael Box.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Griggs Place Cemetery.

Mrs. Susan Spann Burnett, age 64 of Winfield passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Funeral services for Susan will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Winfield First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the church.
