Mrs. Peggy Joan Trimm Harbin, better known as Joan, age 77 of Winfield; after a long battle with cancer and surrounded by her family; passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at her daughter’s residence in Cottondale. Joan was born in Fayette, AL on December 17, 1944 to Eual and Earah Floyd Trimm. Mrs. Harbin was a 1964 graduate of Winfield City High School, she later attended Bevill (Brewer) State College and earned her LPN degree. Mrs. Harbin was a member of the Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Joan enjoyed spending time with her family, going on cruises, camping, fishing, doing puzzles, quilting, sewing and making clothes for others.

She leaves behind her children, Tammy Jones and her husband Jimmy, her son, Jonathan Harbin and his wife Jenifer, grandchildren, James Jones, III (Tammy), Robert Jones (Brittani), Kayla Banks (Tim), Jennifer Wright, Jacob Harbin, and Joseph Harbin, great grandchildren, Sammy, Noah, Raven, Gavin, Daniel, Emili, William, Poppi, Luci, Zach, Charles, Lemmie, Myles, McKinley and Eliza, her sisters, Joyce Harkins, Edith Walker (Bill), and Linda Elliott, and host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Lemmie Harbin, a son, Eric Harbin, grandson, Justin Harbin, her parents, a sister, Brenda Trimm and brothers, Milford, Alford, Brooks and Ray Trimm.

Funeral services for Mrs. Harbin will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 12:00 noon from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Liberty Cemetery near Rock City. The visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home. Brother Jim Robins and Brother Danny Harkins will be the officiating minister.
