Mrs. Carrie Sue Eads age 79 of Chicago, IL formerly of Eldridge went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2022. Carrie Sue was born on July 1, 1943 in Fayette County, AL to Samuel and Bethel Lee Dozier. She was a devoted Wife and Mother, beloved Daughter, Sister, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. To know Carrie Sue, was to love her. Throughout her life she was always hard working, independent, resilient, and even stubborn at times. Her smile and her laughter had the power to light up a room… a quality that carried throughout her life. Carrie Sue left behind a legacy of memories filled with fun, humor, and love. “Nana”, as we remember her, always loved the children and would let out pure joy with each embrace. As we remember Carrie Sue today, and always, we will remember her for who she truly was. Someone who loved fearlessly, who laughed hard, and someone who sang her heart away to her musical favorites. We will dearly miss her always but find peace in knowing that she touched the lives of so many and that she was loved by all.
Carrie Sue is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, Joe Eads, her children, Joe Thomas Eads, Susan Rena Eads, and Jerry Dewayne Buchanan, grandchildren, Jonathan A. Eads (Lisa), Nichole F. Bennett (Donald Thomas Bennett, Jr.) Casey Jo Eads, Ryan H. Smith (Isaac), Cory M. Eads, Sydney M. Reiser, and Michael J. Dupont II.
