Mr. James Robert Herren better known as “Jim” age 85, of the Whites Chapel Community passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Herren was born on November 21, 1936 in Fayette County to C.S. and Dora Bopeep Hollingsworth Herren. Jim was a member of the Whites Chapel Church of Christ and a 1954 graduate of Hubbertville High School. He received an engineering degree from Auburn University in 1961. Mr. Herren spent much of his life as a plant manager for the Fayette Glove Plant. In his spare time Jim enjoyed farming and spending time with his family.

Mr. Herren leaves behind his wife of 67 years Jeanette Herren, daughters, Teresa Mobley (Trent), and Angela Sandlin (Kevin), sons, James Robert Jr. (Bernice), and Victor Lamar (Jennifer) Herren, grandchildren, Matthew Mobley, John Mark Mobley, Leah Giorgio, Sarah Nichols, Stephen Herren, Jonathan Herren, Amanda Davis, Ty Herren, Caroline Watson, Emma Mitchell, Hannah Herren, Maggie Herren, and Ben Sandlin, twelve great-grandchildren, brother, Gerald Hugh Herren (Sharon) of Richmond, KY, sister, Wanda Wasden (Bobby) of Georgiana, AL, and a host of other family members, church family, and friends.

Mr. Herren was preceded in death by his parents, C.S. Herren and Bopeep Hollingsworth Yureskes, and brother, Charles “Bubber” Sidney.

Funeral services for Mr. Herren will be held on Sunday, October 9. 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from the Whites Chapel Church of Christ with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. The visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. service time at the church.
