Ann Bostick Couch Garrett, age 68, beloved daughter and sister, passed away unexpectedly

at her Atlanta home Friday, September 26, 2022. Ann was born December 30, 1953 in Winfield,

Alabama to the late Eloise Gaba Couch and Dr. Edwin Wheeler Couch. She was blessed with

a loving stepmother Eileen Crawford Couch.

Ann graduated from Winfield High School in 1972 having attended there from K-12. She attended the University of Alabama and earned a B.S. in Nursing from Samford University. It was in nursing where she fulfilled her calling, caring for her patients with competence and love. She continued her education at Newport University earning a degree in Human Behavior with emphasis on counseling.

She worked in orthopedic nursing before moving to Atlanta in 1984. In Atlanta, she

specialized in psychiatric nursing which emphasized her counseling and nursing skills. A special circle of friends and relatives will miss Ann being part of their lives. A phone call, and a listening ear. She was an encourager and had an incredible generous spirit. She had a special gift of looking at others with soft eyed acceptance and loved a good laugh. She could often be found watching a classic movie or cheering enthusiastically for Alabama football. A fun night out for Ann was Cajun and Contra dancing with friends.

She is survived by her loving sister, Nancy Couch Moss of Montgomery, AL; two nephews Walter Ernest Moss, Jr. and wife, Emily, of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Edwin Wheeler Moss and wife, Blair, of Birmingham, AL; and great nephews and nieces Wheeler, Charlie, Mary Charlotte and Isla.
