Mr. John L. Prescott, age 82   of Winfield, passed away on Wednesday Jun 6th, 2017 at Arborwoods Health and Rehab in Reform, AL.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Prescott and Cebell Newell Prescott, two brothers, J.D. and Ralph Prescott, and two sisters, Marie Overton and Charlene Lawrence.  He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Frank) Fowler of Winfield, and a son Wayne (Diane) Prescott of Winfield, grandchildren, Dale Prescott, Dawn (Chris) Cagle, Carrie (Keith) Edmonson, Kristy (Darrell) Silas, and  Nicholas (Chelsea) Fowler, great grandchildren, Brian Cagle, Gaven Prescott, Bryliegh Prescott, Tanner Nixon, Haley Nixon, Breanna Cagle, Kendall Edmonson, Grayson Edmonson, Casey Silas, Shelby Silas, Annabelle Fowler, and Grier Fowler, and a great great grandson, John Asher McMillan, 2 brothers, Eugene Prescott and Robert Prescott, and a special friend, Jewell Sentell.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10th,From the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery.  The visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Prescott family.
