Mr. William Charles Henderson better known as W. C., age 89 of Winfield, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in the Kemp Meadows Health Care facility in Winfield.

  1. W. C. was born in Fayette County on April 17,1931 to Quinton Fraysier Henderson and Jenine Adell Perry Henderson. He attended Hubbertville High School and was a Veteran of the United States Navy where he served as a Seaman on the USS Furse. Mr. Henderson worked as a supervisor for construction companies for many years until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fraysier and Adell Henderson, a son Steven Henderson, sister, Lenora Turner and two brothers, Harold and Hank Henderson. He is survived by his children, Charles Ricky Henderson of South Carolina, Perry Henderson of Illinois, Rhonda Barnes of Hubbertville and Melissa Henderson of Winfield, grandchildren, Janae Moore (Matt), Coty Henderson, India Henderson, Nelson Henderson, Justin Barnes (Kim), great grandchildren, Mattison, Mattox and Mattleigh Moore, Ryder and Saylor Barnes, Liam Henderson and Dawson O’Dell, sisters and brothers, Ann Hubbert of Winfield, Sarah Harbin of Guin, Essie Price of Fayette, Quinton Henderson of Tennessee, Gwin Kelley of Illinois and Karen Hollingsworth (Tommy) of Hubbertville and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

A graveside service for Mr. Henderson will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Winfield. Serving as pallbearers, Justin Barnes, Liam Henderson, Dawson O’Dell, Zack York, Danny Hubbert, Paul Henderson and Scott Henderson.

The family of Mr. W.C. would like to thank all the employees and staff of Kemp Meadows for the love, care and support shown to Mr. Henderson and his family during his stay. Mr. Henderson would tell everyone how happy he was with his new home, family and friends during his stay there.
