Mr. Hershel Ray Minor, age 91, of Alabaster fomerly on Winfield, passed away on Monday, Oct 31, 2011, in the Chandler Health and Rehabilitation center in Alabaster. Mr. Minor was former Pastor at the Concorde Pentacostal Church in Winfield, and retired with Fruit of the Loom and the Winfield Cotton Mill Company. He was preceded in death by 2 wives, Mrs. Ozell Minor, and Mrs. Alene Anderson Minor, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include 2 daughters, Bonnie (Charles) Satterwhite, and Jean (Randy) Harwell, a son, Ronald R.(Gwen) Minor, grandchildren, Aaron Harwell, Paige Shelnutt, and Rhonda Davis, great grandchildren, Dakota, Tanner, and Olivia Harwell, Lexie and Lacy Shelnutt, Evan, Gideon, and Lincoln Davis. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the West ALabama Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ronald R. Minor will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield directing.
