Mr. Jackie Lecil Box, age 77, of Winfield, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Sunset Manor in Guin.

Mr. Box was born July 29, 1942 in Fayette County to Earnest and Gladys Bonner Box. He was a 1961 graduate of Hubbertville High School, and a member of the Winfield Masonic lodge. Mr. Box drove a truck for most of his working life. Most importantly, Lecil recently accepted Jesus into his life, he made great efforts to make things right with his Savior and his family before his passing.  

He is survived by his daughters, Jill Felton (Ron) of Oak Mountain, AL, Sandy Eads of Guin and a son, Stephen Box (Karen) of Jasper, grandchildren, Jennifer Box (Brandon), Kaila Todd (Matt), Taylor Taylor (Seth), Monica Johnson (Joey) and Morgan York(Zack), great grandchildren, Tyler and Ryan Lawson, Zayn Taylor, Eli Todd, Preston and Audriella Johnson, Zander, Zeplin and Zara York, and Judah Taylor and Emerson Todd on the way, a sister, Betty Tubbs of Hubbertville, and two brothers, Cecil Box of Hubbertville and Becil Box (Faye Nell) of Winfield and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Gladys Box.

Funeral services for Jackie will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. With burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. Brother C. W. Box will be the officiating minister. Visitation will be on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Box family.
