Mr. Paul Glen Davis, age 78, of the Tidwell’s Chapel community, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at his residence. Paul was born September 25, 1940 to Lloyd and Eva Mae Garrison Davis. Mr. Davis was a graduate of Hubbertville High School, and a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. For most of his career Paul was a long-haul truck driver. Mr. Davis loved his wife, his family and county music. He was a talented and accomplished guitar player, and was once asked to tour with Conway Twitty in his early 20’s.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of nearly 56 years, Bonnie Tucker Davis, his daughters, Tanya King (David) of Alabaster, and Jill Wright (Stanley) of the Tidwell Chapel community, six grandchildren, Brett Wright, Tori King, Luke Woodruff, Abby Woodruff, Ian King and Adam King, his fur baby, Charlie Jett, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Davis and Eva Mae Garrison Davis.
Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in the Tidwell Chapel cemetery Military honors will be presented at the graveside. The visitation will be Saturday 9, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Davis family.
