Matthew Joseph Beasley, age 20 of Winfield, passed away December 1, 2016. Matthew was born on December 21, 1995.He was a 2014 graduate of Winfield City High School, a 2016 graduate of Bevill State, and was currently enrolled at the University of North Alabama. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Lilly Gann. He is survived by his parents, Doug and Charlotte Beasley, his sister, Brooke Beasley, grandparents, Alvin "Bunk" and Linda Beasley, all of Winfield, and grandmother, Elizabeth Clinton of Pigeon Forge, TN. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from the Winfield First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Scufflegrit Cemetery near Twin. Brother Jerry Gann will officiate. Alex Smothers, Will Addison, Jordan Williams, Ryan Spann, Zac Hallmark, and Jake Dozier will serve as active pall bearers. The visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the Winfield First United Methodist Church. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Beasley family.
