Mr. William Henry Nipper, age 91, of Brilliant, passed away, Wednesday August 22, 2018, in the Northwest Medical Center. Mr. Nipper was born and raised in Brilliant, AL, formally known as Boston. Mr. Nipper was a World War II army veteran and a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Nipper worked as a truck driver, oil driller and a pumper for several oil companies in Texas and also at Marathon in Vernon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma E. Nipper, parents, Raymond Nipper and Almer Stricklin Nipper, and a son, Henry Wayne Nipper. He is survived by his daughter, Jean Koester (Daniel), grandchildren, William Allan Koester and Rebekah Koester and a grandson, Spencer Koester. Funeral services for Mr. Nipper will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) on Saturday at the funeral home. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Nipper family.
