Mr. Charles Waylon "Tommy" Tucker, age 84 of Eldridge, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2018 at his residence.  Mr. Tucker was a member of the Eldridge Church of Christ and a Volunteer Fireman with Eldridge Fire Departmant.  Mr. Tucker grew up on his family farm in Fayette County where he enjoyed spending his sapre time fishing from the creek banks.  He worked in the auto industry in Detroit for Chrysler Corporation until being drafted into the United States Army in 1957 during the Korean war.  Upon his return from service, Tommy worked in the mining industry until 1991 when he started delivering parts for Scotts Auto Salvage. Mr. Yucker loved camping, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Lucille Sprinkle Tucker, a sister, Louise Tucker Riggs, a niece Renee Hayes Wheat, and a nephew, Grant Tucker.  he is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patsy Long Tucker, daughters, Vickie Cosby (Kevin) and Sherrie Behel (Wade), a son Scott Tucker (Meloney), grandchildren, Shawn Cosby (Ashley), Luke Cantrell (Amanda), Seeth Cosby, Tyler Behel (Brittany), Chelle Tucker Phillips (Mike), Hayden Behel and wesley Tucker (Chelsea), great grandchildren, Kate Cantrell, Preston Cantrell, Owen Cosby, Sam Cantrell, Waylon Behel, Wright Cantrell, and Seth Behel, sisters, Margie Sue Wallace (Jim), Glenda Logan (Veston) and Donna Turner (Tommy), brothers, Johnny Tucker (Betty) and Larry Tucker (Dorothy), a brother in law, Wayne Riggs, and a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon o Tuesday, August 14, 2018 fro the Eldridge Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Kelley Cemetery.  A vsistation will be held on Monday, August 12, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Church.  Bowen Funeral Home of Win field serving the Tucker family.
