Mrs. Mildred Frances Stough, age 85, of Winfield passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the Sunset Manor Nursing Facility. Mildred was born on November 3, 1940, in Vernon, Alabama to Ross and Millie Smith Glasgow. She was a longtime member of Piney Grove Church of God. Mildred worked for many years at the Winfield Cotton Mill until its closing. She then devoted her time to being a homemaker and caring for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to yard sales and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Stough is survived by her daughter, Donna Coleman; her son-in-law, Bo Bostick; her grandchildren, Kyle Stough (Beebo), Chelsea Stough, Christy Posey, Amanda Davis, Jason Bostick (Courtney), Brandy Manasco (Brandon), and Lisa Bostick; great grandchildren, Myles Stough, Alex Warren, Mason Posey, Hannah Posey Davidson (Noah), Austin Lambert (Tristen), Preston Lambert, Alyssa and Ashley Bostick, Katie Beth, LeeAnn and Jessie Mansaco, Holden Bostick, Dellavante King, and Jhayden Bostick; great-great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Oakley, and Isla Lambert, siblings, Ralph Glasgow (Dennie), Randy Glasgow, Tim Glasgow (Cookie), Benny Glasgow, Buddy Glasgow, and Betty McClain; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stough was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Ray Stough; her son, Mark Ray Stough; her daughter, Linda Kay Bostick, great grandson Elijah Bostick; and great-great grandson Atticus Lambert.
Funeral services for Mrs. Stough will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 12:00 noon from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the New River Church of Christ Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon service time at the funeral home.
