Robert “Spud” Stewart Jr., 78, passed away, leaving behind many cherished memories and lifelong friendships.

Robert was born on December 19, 1947, to Robert Stewart Sr. and Eula Mae Smith Stewart. He attended Winfield High School and graduated from Hubbertville High School in 1966. Following graduation, he began driving log trucks, a career he continued until his retirement.

Robert enjoyed the outdoors and spent many years hunting squirrel, deer, and rabbit, as well as fishing. He was also a devoted Alabama football fan and enjoyed watching the Crimson Tide with friends.

Family and faith were important to Robert. Following the death of his father, he faithfully cared for his mother until her passing. He attended Siloam Missionary Baptist Church, and his faith remained an important part of his life.

Robert will be remembered for his loyalty, kindness, and the many friendships he maintained throughout his life. He is survived by several cousins, special friends, and many others who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
