Mrs. Tommie Lou Berryhill Davis, age 96, of Winfield passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026 surrounded by her family at her home.  She was affectionately known as Mama Tommie to all who knew her.  She was born on February 9, 1930 in Marion County, Alabama to Lourene Guin Berryhill and Earnest Woodrow Berryhill.  She attended Marion County High School and Winfield High School and was a graduate of the Faith Bible Institute.  Tommie Lou married her husband, Gaston Burvey Davis, on June 18, 1949 and they were married for over 50 years.  They enjoyed eating dinner with their supper club and fishing at Upper Bear Creek Reservoir.  She was a longtime faithful member, Sunday School teacher, and the general Sunday School Secretary for Zion Missionary Baptist Church.  Tommie Lou worked as a bookkeeper for her special bosses Sam Jones and Harry and Pat Rodgers for many years at Napa Auto Parts of Winfield.  Her love for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her church family, and friends was unmatched.  

Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter, Deborah Davis Weeks (Ronny), daughter in law Belinda Ballard Davis; her grandchildren Rhonda Weeks Bowen (Tommy), Daphne Weeks Williamson (Trey), Brian Davis Weeks (Erin), Brittney Davis Evans (Mike), and Brooke Davis Poole (Justin); her great grandchildren Meg Bowen Weeks (Brenton), Savannah Williamson Pyron (Braden), Jack Williamson, Davis Bowen, Julia Williamson, Blaine Bowen, Jordan Weeks, Addelyn Poole, Ames Poole, and Riley Weeks; her niece Lisa Keeton Dozier (Timmy), and long time special caregiver Emily Parish Markham (Ty).  Her other loving caregivers include Loretta Nixon, Brandi Sims, Kalie Spann, Weber Jackson, Kayla Parks, Denise Ritchie, and Candice Mitchell. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Hospice of Northwest Alabama, especially Anissa Blair, Amanda Harbor, Luke Hallman, and Hollie Shaw.  

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Gaston Benny Davis, her sister Dorothy Berryhill Keeton, and her in laws Dave and Savannah Davis. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 3:00 pm from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm service time at the funeral home.
