Curtis Mamoru Labor, age 66, of Guin passed away at his residence on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Curtis was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 10, 1960 to David Tarasawa and Lisa Kodama. He was raised in Waipahu, Hawaii, where he spent most of his life before moving to Alabama with his beloved wife, Regina, in 2000. Curtis honorably served his country in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Lexington, where he was a member of the catapult crew. Following his move to Alabama, He enjoyed traveling and making lasting memories with Regina.
Mr. Labor is survived by his wife, Regina Maddox Labor; his stepson, Christopher Dye; his sisters, Audree Kodama (Joel) and Emi Good; his brothers, Dennis Labor and Kelly Tarasawa; his nieces and nephews, Kayla, Michael, Bobby, Maile, and Malia; his father-in-law, Roger Maddox; and a host of other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Labor was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Leslie Andrea Dye; his brother, Randy Kodama, his mother-in-law, Barbara Maddox; and his brothers-in-law, Rick and Steve Maddox.
A memorial service for Mr. Labor will be held at a later date.
