Mrs. Dortha J. Cox, age 71, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026. She was born on September 18, 1954 in England, Arkansas to James Edward and Ethel Taylor Collier. Dortha spent much of her early life in Arkansas, where she graduated from Morrilton High School. Later, she moved to South Carolina, where she and her husband made a home for their family and she became a faithful member of North Charleston Church of Christ. She worked for many years as a secretary while raising her children. Later, she began a career with Cesco in accounts payable, where she remained until her retirement. Outside of work Dortha enjoyed searching for treasures at flea markets, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Cox is survived by her sons, Leslie Cox (Krystal) and Daniel Cox (Nikki); her grandchildren, Jonathan, Logan, Rylee, Raegan, and Wyatt Cox; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Cox; and her parents.
