Mrs. Tiny F. Stanford Farrell, age 88, of Brilliant, Alabama, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, in Winfield, surrounded by her loving family.

A lifelong resident of Brilliant, Tiny was a cherished and devoted member of her community. She proudly owned and operated Tiny’s Coal Country Restaurant for many years, where she became known not only for her cooking, but for her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit. In her later years, she devoted herself fully to caring for those she loved, tenderly looking after her mother and her husband, Godfrey, during times of need. Even after their passing, she continued to serve others, always finding joy in helping those around her. Her life was a true reflection of compassion, selflessness, and love.

She is survived by her brother, Wesley Stanford, Sr. of Brilliant, and her sister, Marie (Johnny) Bronkema of Chicago, Illinois.

Tiny is also survived by her children: daughters Debra (Gregg) Scott of Machesney Park, Illinois, and Alica (Jeff) Carver of Blocton, Alabama; and sons Donald Ruark (Belinda Justice) of Ewing, Kentucky; Danny (Donna Jo) Ruark of Germantown, Kentucky; Dewight (Sandy) Ruark of Maysville, Kentucky; and DeWayne Ruark of Lexington, Kentucky.

She leaves behind a loving legacy through her grandchildren: James Scott, Dawnn Scott (Adam Fitzgerald), Trisha Scott, Samantha Ruark, Kayla Reeves, Macey (Adam) Jett, Shelia (Brad) Rubin, Fontana (Andrew) Carl, Cameron (Angelia) Ruark, Lendsey (Cameron) Garabrandt, LeAnna Carver (Hunter Vining), and Rebecca Carver (Adrian Hannah), along with many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of the East Wing at Diversicare of Winfield for their compassion and attentive care—whether it was making sure Tiny had her chapstick each day or sitting with her when family could not be present. Special thanks are also extended to Tiffany and Tabatha with Hospice for their kindness and support, and to her longtime hairstylist, Dot, who always made sure Tiny looked her best.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Bowen Funeral Home, with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Brilliant Lions Club Memorial Gardens. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield directing.
