Willette Hardin, age 73 of Guin, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center–Hamilton. She was born on May 14, 1952, in Winfield, Alabama, to Floyd Easby Dillard and Mildred Blankenship Dillard. She was a member of Philadelphia Methodist Church and, in more recent years, attended New Hope Independent Baptist Church whenever her health allowed. Willette devoted her life to caring for her family as a homemaker, a role she filled with love, dedication, and quiet strength. Willette found joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved cooking meals for those she cared about, shopping, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Mrs. Hardin is survived by her siblings, Floyd Dillard, Jr.(Angie), Lavonne Glover, Elaine Price, Dianne Franks (Steve), and Shelia Nix; special nephew and caregiver, Steven Hardin; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Hardin; her son, Clint Hardin; and her parents.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hardin will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Liberty Cemetery near Guin. The visitation will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., service time, at the funeral home.
