Anita Diane Hulsey, age 62 of Guin, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at her residence. She was born in Haleyville, Alabama on November 19, 1963 to Connie Jr. and Toy Mae Gilliand Allred.

Anita spent much of her life working in the mobile home industry as a final finisher before her retirement. In her free time, she loved being at the local dirt track, West Alabama Speedway. She especially enjoyed watching her sons race and spending time with her racing family, where she made many cherished memories.

Anita is survived by her sons, Alan Goodwin (Dawn), Nathan Goodwin, Kaleb Atkinson (Ashley), and Jerrod Atkinson (Courtney); 12 grandchildren; her sisters, Rhonda Sides (Jamie), Angela “Angie” McMillan, Stephanie Short (Craig), Carla Ireland (Kevin), Lawanda Hall (Bryan), and Crystal Allred; her stepmother, Diania Allred; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Hulsey, and her son, Daniel.

Funeral services for Anita will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Brilliant Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., service time, at the funeral home.
