Mrs. Jessie Virginia Miles, age 90, of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Diversicare Nursing Facility in Winfield. She was born in Guin, Alabama on August 12, 1935, to the late Elmer and Ora Mae Knight Colburn.

Mrs. Miles was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. In her own special way, she was a loving and caring Christian daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family. She worked for many years as an inspector with Health-Tex in Guin. Jessie was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan and, for many years, a devoted supporter of Winfield City High School athletics. In her later years, she especially enjoyed faithfully attending services at Eastside Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, David Miles (Rhonda), Dennis “Monk” Miles (Cheryl), Doug Miles, and Don Miles; her grandchildren, Jess Miles, Katy Miles, Jake Miles, and Erin Miles; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Miles; her sisters, Lou Addison (Hewitt), Jewell Eads (Qdell), Peggy Brown (Connie), and Joann Logan (Jerry).

Funeral services for Mrs. Miles will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., service time, at the funeral home.
