Angelia Kaye Stricklin, better known as Angie, age 61, of Winfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Birmingham. Angie was born on October 12, 1964, in Amory, Mississippi, to Basil David Howard and Doris Jean Riggan Stoker. She attended Eastside Baptist Church and was a 1982 graduate of Fayette High School. She furthered her education at Bevill State Community College, where she earned her degree as a registered nurse. Angie devoted many years of her life to caring for others. She worked at the hospital in Winfield for ten years before moving to Gilmore Medical Center in Amory, Mississippi, where she served in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. In her spare time, Angie enjoyed sewing, embroidering, caring for her beloved cats, and traveling with her husband.
Angie is survived by her husband, Craig Stricklin; her brother, Kevin Langford; her sisters, Wanda Blaylock (Doug) and Beth Holmes (Ricky); her stepfather, Jim Stoker; her brothers-in-law, Glenn Stricklin and Phillip Stricklin (Teresa); and a host of nieces and nephews, whom she loved as her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Basil Howard and Doris Stoker; her brother, Keith Langford; her father-in-law, Harry Stricklin; her mother-in-law, Shirley Silas; and her brother-in-law, Theron Stricklin.
Funeral services for Mrs. Stricklin will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in West Alabama Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time.
