Mrs. Rachel Mae Stocks, age 97, of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Sunset Manor Nursing Facility. She was born on February 16, 1928, in Marion County, Alabama, to William Avery Sandlin and Pearlie Frances Spiller Sandlin. Mrs. Stocks was a member of the Assembly of Yahvah. She spent much of her life as a devoted homemaker, caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and studying her Bible.

Mrs. Stocks is survived by her son-in-law, Roger Dickinson; her grandson, Aaron Dickinson (Lena); her great-grandchildren, Kendall and Ezra Dickinson; her brother, Donald Sandlin (Maedean); and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stocks was preceded in death by her husband, William Stocks; her daughter, Joy Dickinson; her son, Paul Ray Stocks; her siblings, Zettie Jo Sandlin, Odis Sandlin, Johnny Sandlin (Edith), James Sandlin (Clydie), Steven Sandlin (Joann), Roger Sandlin, Christine Bryan (Vick), Frances Lopez (Sal), Mary Cauwels (John); and infant twins, Liddell and Ludell Sandlin.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stocks will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in the Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
