Mrs. Betty Faye Ward, age 82, of Winfield passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026 in the DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. She was born March 18, 1943 in Winfield, Alabama to Olliver D. and Ila Mae Clark Lynn. She lived most of her life in Alabama and was a faithful member of East Winfield Church of Christ. Mrs. Ward attended college where she studied watch and jewelry repair. She owned and operated her own jewelry store in Hackleburg, AL, and was later employed with the local hospital and Wal-Mart.

Mrs. Ward is survived by her husband, William Clyde Ward Sr. of Winfield; her daughter, Sondra Ward of Winfield; her sons, Clyde Ward Jr. of Alabaster, Kavin Ward Sr. of Escondido, CA, and Bert Ward of Hackleburg; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; her sister, Lola Mae Beasley of Cordova; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Elizabeth Ann Lynn Callahan; and her brother, Ollie Ray Lynn.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ward will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
