Mrs. Eloise Caddell Mills of Winfield, AL, went home to our Lord and Savior after passing away peacefully on December 17, 2025. Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her parents, Edd and Nannie Trull Caddell, her husband, Don Mills, her sister, Margaret Caddell Wright (Doug), and grandchild, Jennifer Margaret Warren. Mrs. Mills was lovingly known as “Mom” by her family. She loved playing cards with friends and family, looking fashionable, cheering for all Alabama sports, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her family. She began her career as a beautician, using her skills and care to help others feel confident, beautiful, and valued. Mrs. Mills also proudly taught hundreds of students cosmetology for over 22 years, as she was the 1st cosmetology teacher in the vocational department at Winfield City High School. Mrs. Mills prioritized her time spent with family. She was a constant presence in her family’s lives who showed up unfailingly for every milestone, celebration, and moment that mattered. She found great joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness. Mrs. Mills is survived by her devoted children, Jan Warren (Jimmy), Jerry Mills (Kelly), and Julie Chaffin (Greg), and five grandchildren, Jessica Warren, Jordon Warren (Nicole), Bailee Mills-Ellis (Gavin), Tucker Chaffin, and Ella Chaffin, and three great grandchildren, Charlee Mills Ellis, Folsom Ellis, and Poppy Ellis. The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation for the many prayers, messages, and phone calls from family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mills will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
