Mr. Harold Keith Thompson, age 88, of Brilliant passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at North Mississippi Medical Center South Marion. Born on May 28, 1936, in Marion County, Alabama, Harold was the son of Cleo Thompson. He was a member of Brilliant Church of God. Harold dedicated more than 25 years of his life to the Brilliant Water Department, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator and performed various other roles. Outside of work, Harold enjoyed playing music, gardening, and spending time with his family.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Patty Thompson, daughters, Lisa Thompson and Carolyn Stough, grandchildren, Judson Stough (Brittany), Heather Belsha (Joe), Derek Thompson (Ashley), Robert Thompson (Madison), Eric Thompson (Melena), Kayla Thompson, Christopher Johnson, Cody Johnson (Haley), and Tyler Thompson, great grandchildren, Deja and Olivia Bynum, Bella, Ryder, and Riftyn Thompson, Bexley and Zoe Thompson, Cyril Johnson, and Kaycen and Colton Thompson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his first wife, Millie Thompson, his mother, Cleo Thompson, his children, Randy Thompson, Roxie Johnson, and Terry Thompson, and siblings, Durane “Dude,” Marshall, and Grayson Thompson, Mary Jean Shaw, and Eulene Walker.

Funeral services for Mr. Thompson will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
