Mr. Bobby Junior Taylor, age 73, of the Sunny Home community near Brilliant passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, April 18, 2025. Born on November 9, 1951, in Haleyville, Alabama, Bobby was the son of Carmol and Louise Townley Taylor. A lifelong resident of Sunny Home Bobby was a member Myers Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Known for his work ethic, he owned and operated his own construction and brick masonry business for over 40 years. Bobby enjoyed life’s simple joys like grilling for loved ones, gathering with friends, enjoying music, and dancing.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Teresa Taylor, his son Donald Jeffery Taylor (Lauren), his brother, Gene Taylor (Judy), as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Myers Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
