Mrs. Mary Beth Nix, age 60, of Winfield passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in the UAB Medical Center. Mrs. Nix was born in Illinois on May 25, 1964 to Don and Jackie Hawkins Johnson. She was a member of the Marion County Cowboy Church. Beth spent much of her life as a homemaker caring for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and cleaning, shopping, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

Beth is survived by daughters, Tosha Nix (Justin) and Danielle Busby (Josh), son, Dakota Nix (Ariel), stepsons, Jeremy Nix (Alisha), Brandon Nix, and Bruce Fosse, grandchildren, Trenton, Abigail, Kaydance, Tyler, Hunter, Carrington, Kaidence, Ricklyn, Kason, Remington, Jaxson, Charleigh, Tristin, Jaela, Caleb, Kathan, Avery, Wyatt, Ayden, Jordan, Conner, Baylie, and Dylan, great grandchildren, Theo and Risae, brothers, Ronald Johnson (Karen), Donald Johnson (Stacey), and Patrick Johnson (Shelly), sisters, Teresa King (Lonnie), Tiffany Johnson, and Danielle Johnson, fur baby Sugar, special relatives, Nicole Fosse and Major Raper, special friends, Carol Armstrong and Ashlyn Craig, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Nix, son, Ricky Fosse, and grandparents, Louie and Geneva Hawkins, and Woodrow and Ludene Johnson.

Funeral services for Beth will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Brilliant Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
