Linda Sue Butler Perry, age 78, of Jackson, Tennessee formerly of Winfield passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at her residence. Mrs. Perry was born in Marion County, Alabama on November 16, 1945 to Columbus and Susie Lee Butler. She was a 1964 graduate of Winfield High School. Linda and her husband lived in Jackson, TN for more than 50 years, where she was a faithful member of the Campbell Street Church of Christ where she often taught Bible class. She exemplified the message of James 1:9 throughout her life, which states, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” She enjoyed working in her garden, quilting, caring for children in her home daycare, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Columbus “Toad” Butler.

Mrs. Perry is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lloyd Perry, her sons, Evan Perry (Tracy), Ryan Perry, and Rhett Perry (Laurie), grandchildren, Alex Perry (Jordan), Kylie Perry, Kiersten Perry, and Cooper Perry, great-grandchildren, Lincoln Perry, and Roman Perry siblings, Loretta Wyers (James), Clarence “Buddy” Butler, Sambo Butler, and Tony Butler (Margene), and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral services for Mrs. Perry will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. from the Winfield Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. service time at the church.
