Ms. Oneeda Tucker Kirkley, age 86, of the Hubbertville Community passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at her residence. Ms. Kirkley was born September 12, 1937 in Eldridge, Alabama to Marvin and Minnie Dozier Tucker. Oneeda was a faithful member of the Tidwell Chapel Church of Christ. She was employed with Reltoc Manufacturing and later Fayette Medical Center until her retirement. After retiring she worked as a caregiver for Mr. Shannon Box, Ms. Wilma Hollingsworth, and Ms. Elene Lawrence, whom she loved dearly. Oneeda was a wonderful wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always put God and others before herself.

Ms. Kirkley is survived by her granddaughter, Krystal Cox (Leslie), great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Logan, Rylee, and Raegan Cox, sisters, Bonnie Davis, and Lovetta McCaleb, sister-in-law, Ann Fowler (James), and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

Ms. Kirkley was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, J.C. Kirkley, son, Jeffery Kirkley, grandson, Jonathan Kirkley, parents, Marvin and Minnie Tucker, brothers, Simon Tucker, Bud Tucker, and his wife LouNell, Freeman Tucker and his wife Jennie Mae, and Tommy Tucker, sisters, Nellie Critzer, Eulene Tidwell and her husband Dank, brothers-in-law, Paul Davis and Billy Ray McCaleb.

Funeral services for Ms. Kirkley were held on Saturday, January 6,2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Berea Church of Christ Cemetery. The visitation was held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
