Obituaries

Mrs. Sue Dillard

Mrs. Ramona Sue Dillard, age 67 of Winfield, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015 at her residence.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margie Hoepker.  Mrs. Dillard is survived by her daughter, Dana Dillard Burleson (Brett) of Winfield, grandchildren, Courtney, Carlee, and Cursten Burleson, a sister, Carlota "Lottie" Keller (John), brothers, Chuck, Gene, and Greg Hoepker, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27th 2015, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel.  Bro. Grant Webb and Brother Thomas Nix will officiate.  The visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. service time on Sunday at the funeral home.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Dillard family.   

Mr. Dexter H. Roberts

Mr. Dexter H. Roberts, age 58 of the Hubbertville community, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 at his residence.  Mr. Roberts was employed by Joy Global Corp. (Continental Conveyer) in Winfield as a truck driver with over 22 years of service.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mae Driggers Roberts. Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Sheree D. Roberts, two daughters, Janalee Sheree Patton (Kyle) of Tuscaloosa and Danielle Mae Ellis (Will) of Tuscaloosa, father, Henry Linden Roberts of Old Town, FL., grandchildren, Katelyn Mae Patton, Eli Wick Patton and William Griffin Ellis, sister, Marilyn Roberts, Waycross, GA, brothers, Wesley Roberts (Joni) of Tampa, FL and Timbo Roberts (Kimm) of Winfield and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  Members of Dexter’s trucking family will serve as honorary pallbearers.  Active pallbearers will be, Timmy Dozier, Jamie Dozier, Hugh Dozier, Kyle Patton, Will Ellis and Terry Henslee.   Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Hubbertville Cemetery.   Thermon Hubbert to officiate.  Visitation will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Bowen Funeral Home serving the Roberts family.


Mr. Harold Steven Vickery

Mr. Harold Steven Vickery, age 59 of Winfield, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 at his residence.  Mr. Vickery is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Harold and Mildred Faye Holliman Vickery.  He is survived by his wife, Fronda Bowling Vickery, daughter, Adrian Winter Pope (Terry), son, Eric Steven Vickery, grandchildren, Brittney Brook Cherry, Hannah Jane Vickery and Andrew Michael Pope, sister, Sandra Ward (Dewey),  a brother, James Vickery (Pat)  and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.  Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Greg Webb and Bob Fenoff to officiate.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. service time.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Vickery family.

Mrs. Euna Mae Marshall

Mrs. Euna Mae Marshall, age 91 of Winfield, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.  Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Lee Webster, and Biba Pate Webster, her husband, Joe Mac Marshall, a grandson Steven Marshall, 6 sisters, Hassie Lee Perry, Ila B. Smith, Mary Lou Tilley, Lavern Wilburn, Earnestine Loftis, and Jquan Bull, and a brother, Troy Webster.  She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Joe (Jim) Taylor of Winfield, a grandson, Greg (Kim) Taylor of Jasper, granddaughter, Leah (Jeremy) Pennington of Chelsea, 2 great grandsons, John Taylor and William Cooper Pennington, a brother, Clinton (Nina) Webster of Winfield, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in West AL Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win.  Bro. C.W. Box, Jim Taylor, Jeremy Pennington and Greg Taylor will officiate the services.  Mike Renfroe, Barney Wilson, Scott Riley, Bruce Sims, Randy Howell, Randy Webster, and Colton Moore will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. (service time) on Wednesday at the funeral home.  The family would like to express their sincere thanks for all the prayers, visits, and kind expressions of love shown during this difficult time; thanks to their Church family at Harmony Grove, the medical staff of NWMC, and the many others that have given of themselves to make this time a bit more bearable.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Marshall family.
