Obituaries

Mr. Robert Wyman Humber

Mr. Robert Wyman Humber, age 95 a resident of the Wayside community, Winfield, AL, passed away April 22, 2015 at his residence. He is the son of Robert Albert Asbury and Jennie Bell Byars Humber. Wyman was ordained a deacon at First Landmark Baptist Church of Moline, IL in the 1950s and was a dedicated and faithful member of Siloam Baptist and Springhill Baptist Churches both in Fayette County, AL. He served as Sunday School Superintendent, Treasurer and in leadership roles until his wife’s health failed. He retired from Continental Conveyor & Equipment Co. in Winfield, AL with over 22 years of service. He cultivated a love of farming, nature, flowers and their upkeep--enriching his family’s life and his own. From a quiet young farm boy to a Godly example and loyal gentleman, his heart was devoted to the ways of the Lord. Wyman is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Voncille May Humber in 2008, his sister Cora Lenahan, his brothers, Phearson, Alphus, Freddie, Elton, Aubrey Lee and Wytman Humber and their spouses, and his father-in-law W.L. (Bud) May who was like a father to him. He is survived by his sister Mildred Moore, of Winfield, his twin daughters, Glenda H. James, and son-in-law Joe James of Hoover, and Linda H. Lalor of Scotts Valley California, and grandchildren Audrey Lalor of San Jose, CA and Ben Lalor of Rohnert Park, CA and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Siloam Cemetery. Brother Paul Gray will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.

Mr. Jim Nabors

Mr. Jimmie Hursh Nabors, age 71 of Winfield, passed away on Wednesday April 22, 2015 at Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Ada Marie Trentham Nabors, and a sister, Anna Patel.

Jim is survived by his wife, Lonice Currie Nabors of Winfield, a son Ronnie Blue and wife Neva Stone of Demopolis, grandchildren, Alisha Clark (Brandon) of Alabaster, and Michelle Studdard (Bart) of Winfield, 2 great grandchildren, Brody and Peyton Studdard, a sister , Marie Wilson (Thomas) of Winfield, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2015 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. Bro. Hollie Wayne Spiller will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 (Service Time) on Friday at the funeral home.

William Aubrey Warren

Mr. William Aubrey Warren, age 80 of Brilliant passed away Thursday April 16, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Warren was a member of the Brilliant Church of God and a 1954 graduate of Brilliant High School. After high school he served our country in the United Stated Navy and retired from the Coca- Cola Bottling Company.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Warren of Brilliant and Uncle, Robert L. “Bob” (Lucille) Warren of Birmingham, and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde W. and Willie Cooper Warren and aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday April 18, 2015 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) on Saturday. Brother Greg Webb will be the officiating minister.

Mrs. Eleanor Jocye McClemore

Mrs. Eleanor Joyce McLemore, age 75 of Winfield, formerly of Michigan, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Winfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oland and Eunice Aldridge Harbin, sons, Daniel, Billy Leroy, Jr., and Hershel McLemore, a brother. W.L. Harbin, and ex-husband Billy Leroy McLemore. She is survived by her daughter, Becky Ann McLemore of Winfield, grandson, Randy Joe McLemore of Winfield, and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Griggs Place Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. (service time) on Thursday at the funeral home. Bro. Thomas Nix officiating.

Mr. Jimmy Dowe Trull "Jim"

Mr. Jimmy Dowe Trull, Better known as Jim, age 75 of Winfield, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at his residence. He was a member of Winfield First Baptist Church and a 1958 graduate of Winfield High School.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Griff and Pearl May Trull.   He is survived by his wife, Linda Langley Trull of Winfield, his children, David Trull, Jeff Trull, Tammy (Phillip) Box, Darren (Beth) Roberts, Joseph (Kellie) Trull, and Ross (Jenny) Trull, grandchildren, Alesha (Kip) Dodd, Phillip Box Jr., William Box, Adam Trull, Kaleb Trull, Chloe Trull, Cody Roberts, and Brooks Trull, 4 great grandchildren, brother, Ed (June) Trull, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday from the Winfield First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  Dr. Paul Murphy and Dr. Charles Ballew will officiate.  Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Trull's Sunday School class and the Carpenters for Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Jim's memory to the Guatemalan Missions "Matthew 9:36 Fund" in care of the Winfield First Baptist Church.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Trull family.
