Mr. A. P. Seals

Mr. A.P. "Junior" Seals, age 86 of Winfield, passed away on Tuesday, February 4th, 2014, at the Generations Healthcare facility in Vernon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Marie Seals, 2 brothers, Cratus Joe Seals and Eardis Seals, and a sister, Hazel Webb.   Mr. Seals is survived by a daughter, June Rose Seals of Tuscaloosa, sons, Bobby Seals (Cheryl) of Gu-Win, Dale Seals (Sandra) of Winfield, Dennis Seals (Glenda) of Winfield, Tony Seals (Tina) of Mississippi, and Stacy Seals (Melonie) of Jasper, grandchildren, Todd Seals (Malorie), Terri Seals Pinkard (Wade), Jason Seals (Carol), Roger Seals (Ashley), Jake Seals (Jeanette), Tracey Marie Seals, Gavin Stone Seals, and Garrett Weeks, great grandchildren, Karsyn Seals, Quinton Seals, Emma Seals, Jeremy Pinkard, Olivia Pinkard, Casey Seals, Riley Seals, Lydia Seals, and Jaxson Seals, and a sister, Robbie Seals Brewington of McMinnville, TN.   Funeral services for Mr. Seals are scheduled for 3:00 p.m on Sunday, Feb. 9th 2014 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with Burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win.  Visitation will be Held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. (service time) on Sunday at the funeral home. Rev. Don Graham will be the officiating minister.    Bowen Funeral Home serving the Seals family. 

Mrs. Bonnie Dickinson Wates

Mrs. Bonnie Dickinson Wates, age 88 of Winfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at her residence.  Mrs. Wates was born on November 12, 1925 in Marion County, the daughter of the late John Vester and Cilla Angie Dickinson.  She was a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother.  A Christian for over 70 years of her life, charter member of The Shepherd's Field Church, where she played a major role in founding the work there. Active in the Ladies Ministry, and a firm believer in the Sunday School aspects of the work of God.  She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church for many years prior to her work with The Shepherd's Field Church.  Mrs. Wates also worked as a welder in the Panama City, Florida Shipyards.  She was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents, husband, Ellis Hill Wates, a brother, James Haskell Dickinson, sisters, Lillian Kronjalger, Estelle Hemlock, Flora Hillman, and Mary Lou Dickinson, a number of half brothers, and one grandson-in-law, Michael Clark.  She is survived by two sons, Jerry Hill (Betty) Wates of Winfield, Dr. LarryJoe Wates of Winfield, daughters, Brenda Kay (Larry) Doss of Winfield, Myra Sue (Tim) Reeves of Sulligent, Deborah Denise (Bobby) Ritchie of Winfield, Loretto Jo (Tim) Nixon of Winfield, grandchildren, Jared Wayne Wates, Deanna Marie Wates (Bobby) Duckworth, Allison Beth Doss Clark, Brandi Michelle Doss (Jessie) Markham, Chassidy Kaye Doss (David) Pitts, Marlon Trent Webb, Brittany Mallory Reeves (Adam), Ashley Brooke Ritchie (Jeremy) McDaniel, Kayla Rebekah (Justin) Parks, Kody Seth Nixon, and Kyle Jacob Nixon, great grandchildren, Kasey Marie Duckworth (Michael) Bass, Joshua Luke Clark, Kelsie Tilley, Taylor Ellis Doss, Daisy Alexis Daniel Stidham, Christian Trance Webb, Kynzie Grace Webb, Ada Julieanne Minga, Layah AnaBeth McDaniel, Nathan Conner Parks, Bonnie EllaKate Parks, D.J. Pitts., and Robert Pitts,  great great grandchild, Baby Bass, expected to arrive in September 2014,  two sisters, Daisy Erlene Kimbrell of Winfield, and Patricia (Pat) Ann (William) Doss of Winfield, brother, James Ralph (Linda) Dickinson of Guin, her church family at The Shepherd's Field Church, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8th from the Shepherd's Field Church with burial to follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Rev. Tim Reeves, Rev. Adam Minga, and Dr. LarryJoe Wates officiating.  Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening at the Shepherd's Field Church.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Wates Family.  

Mr. Roy F. Crow

Mr. Roy Floyd Crow, age 79 of Guin in the Pea Ridge community, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in the Sunset Manor Health Care Facility in Guin. Mr Crow was a U.S. military veteran, retired machine operator with the Marion County Commission, he also worked for a time in the coal mines and 3M company.  Mr. Crow was preceded in death by his parents Carter and Ethel Avery Crow, brothers, Robert Crow and Hasten Crow, a sister, Vera Green, and twin siblings Billy and Betty Crow.  He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jones Crow, a son, Bentley (Angie) Crow of Guin, daughter, Janet Crow of Guin, grandchildren, Ben and Bryant Crow of Guin, a brother, Woody Crow of Hamilton, sisters, Estelle Evans of Guin, Carolyn (Johnny) Langley of Hamilton, and Dorothy (Freeman) Kirk of Tullahoma, TN, and many other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to followin the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. Rev Widdy Atkins and Rev. Bobby Duncan will offficiate.  Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.   Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Crow family.

 

Mrs. June Berryhill

Mrs. Mildred June Berryhill, age 78 of Brilliant, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at her residence.  Mrs. Berryhill was a 1953 Graduate of Brilliant High School, 4 term Brilliant city Council woman, and a member of the Brilliant Chruch of Christ.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Ora Goodwin Miles. June is survived by her husband of 48 years, 2 months, 11 days, 22 hours and 25 minutes, Mr. Charles "Hop" Berryhill, a brother, Eugene Miles (Violet) of St. Louis, MO, sister, Billie Grissom of Spruce Pine, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.  Funeral Services for Mrs. Berryhill will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Brilliant Memorial Gardens.  Greg Lowery officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm (service time) on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Berryhill family.

Mr. David Wayne Lee

Mr. David Wayne Lee, age 42 of Hubbertville, passed away on January 23, 2013.  David is survived by his sister, Vicky Lynn Webster (Jimmy) 0f Hubbertville, and a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral Services were held on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2013 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with Burial in Tucker Cemetery.  Bowe FUneral Home of Winfield directing.
