Mr. David Wayne Lee

Mr. David Wayne Lee, age 42 of Hubbertville, passed away on January 23, 2013.  David is survived by his sister, Vicky Lynn Webster (Jimmy) 0f Hubbertville, and a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral Services were held on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2013 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with Burial in Tucker Cemetery.  Bowe FUneral Home of Winfield directing.

Mrs. Jimmie T. Wooldridge

Mrs. Jimmie Taylor Wooldridge, age 85 of Winfield, fomerly of Calhoun City, MS, passed away on December 17, 2013 at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Ed and Hattie Lee Stewart Taylor, and 2 sisters, Mozelle Watson and Martha Nell Craft.  She is survived by a step-son, Steve Allen Wooldridge, a sister, Maurine Roberts, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.  Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 from the Pryor Funeral Home Chapel in Calhoun City, MS, with burial to follow in the Oak Springs Cemetery in Calhoun City.  Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Wooldridge family with local arrangements.

Mrs. Pauline Tidwell Hawkins

Mrs. Pauline Tidwell Hawkins, age 89 of Brilliant, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013 in the Golden Living Center in Winfield. Mrs. Hawkins enjoyed working in her flower gardens and cooking for her family, and retired from the U.S. Postal service with over 35 years of service.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Braxton (J.B.) Hawkins, parents, U.L. Tidwell and Mary Bevill Tidwell, and 3 brothers, Denver Tidwell, Charles Tidwell, & Harold Tidwell.  She is survived by a son, Terry D. (Beth) Hawkins of Brilliant, grandson, Robert D. Hawkins of Jasper, sister, Kathleen Noles of Jasper, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in Brilliant Memorial Gardens.  Bro. Phillip Miles officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. (service time) on Wednesday at the funeral home. 

Mr. Jimmy Smith

Mr. Jimmy Terral Smith, age 62 of Winfield, passed away on Monday, November 25th, 2013 at U.A.B. Medical center in Birmingham.  Jimmy was a 1971 Graduate of Brilliant High School, retired from UPS with 30 years of service, member of the Winfield City Family Church of God of Prophecy, an avid outdoorsman and Alabama Crimson Tide fan, loving husband, father, brother and "Pop". He was preceded in death by his parents, Haskell and Flora Mae Warren Smith, 2 brothers, Wayne and Ellis Smith, and a sister, Mary Bostick.  He is survived by his wife, Shirley Smith, daughter, Kimberly Smith Franks (Heath)  of Guin, son, Heath Smith (Tammy) of Winfield, Grandchildren, Tori, Hannah, Brady, & Conner Smith, and Laura Leigh Franks, brothers, Jerry Smith (Judy) of Winfield, Tony Smith (Susan) of Dickinson, TX, and a sister, Bobbie Garrett (Bill) of Hamilton.  Funeral services for Mr. Smith are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2013 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Bro. Dewayne Smith will be the officiaitng minister.  The visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) on Friday at the funeral home.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Smith family.   

Mr. Terry Gene Farris

Mr. Terry Gene Farris, age 66, of Lincoln Park, MI, fomerly of the Oak Grove community, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, in Dearborn, Michigan.  Mr. Farris was preceded in death by his parents Felix and Cozette Dodd Farris.  He is survived by his Brother, Dennis Farris of Lincoln Park, MI, sister Brenda Cosby of Harrogat, TN, a son, Timothy Farris of Mississippi, 2 neices, 1 nephew, and a host of other relatves and friends.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, from the Oak Grove Church of Christ, with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery.  Bobby Dodd will be the officiating minister.  Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.  Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Farris family.
